CFVG. A pioneer in many higher education innovations in Vietnam:

  • 1992: Creation of CFVG (Centre Franco-Vietnamien de formation à la Gestion) by the Vietnamese government and the "French Ministry of Foreign Affairs" and operated by the "Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIP)".
    The MBA (Master of Business Administration) program is launched in Hanoi.
  • 1993: CFVG HCMC opening & MBA launching.
  • 2002: MEBF (Master in Economics of Banking & Finance) is created in Hanoi.
  • 2005: CFVG becomes a member of EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development). CFVG is engaged in the accreditation of its programs (EPAS – EFMD Program Accreditation System).
  • 2006: MMSS (Master in Marketing, Sales & Services) launching in HCMC.
  • 2007: Opening of MEBF program in HCMC.
  • 2008: CFVG MBA is granted the EPAS accreditation by EFMD.
  • 2009: Creation of the MBA Double Degree program.
    MEBF is recognized as a Specialised Master of ESCP Europe by “Conférence des Grandes Ecoles.
  • 2010: Opening of MMSS program in Hanoi and launching of PhD doctoral program.
  • 2015: CGE accreditation, becomes the 1st CGE member in Asia 
  • 2017: Opening first Master in Supply chain management in Vietnam
  • 2021: 5th consecutive EFMD MBA accreditation and 1st EFMD Master accreditation for MEBF program.

CFVG’s faculty members are internationally recognized professors from our prestigious universities and business schools in Europe including ESCP Europe, Audencia, Skema, Rouen Business School, Strasbourg School of Management, IESEG, HHL, and Paris 4 University, Bordeaux School of Management (BEM) with triple international accreditations of EQUIS, AMBA and AACSB. They also play an active role in business communities, serving as consultants, board members, and speakers at international business conferences and seminars.

CFVG also makes creative use of experienced practitioners who are high ranked professionals and top manager from industry in its classes as visiting lecturers and speakers.

CFVG has been active in Vietnam as the first business and management school in internationalization, quality accreditation and commitment in embedding and development the responsible management in its curriculum and the economy through its research, policy advocacy, training and public awareness raising. We commit to continue this journey by developing deeper relationship with our partners, stakeholders, consciously integrate different angles of responsible management in our teaching, research and management practices for the years to come.

CFVG was the first Vietnamese educational insitution to be signatory of the Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME) Initiative. To support PRME Initiative, CFVG has embedded the ERS into the teaching of a full module of Corporate Governance & Social Responsibility in the MBA programme, our faculty involve actively into raising awareness and research activities in the related topics, our students and alumni commit to support ERS business and social entrepreneurship in the country.

Since our foundation, CFVG has enjoyed strong ties with European business schools and universities, which open up exchange programs for double degree with various partners in Europe. Each year, approximately 30% of second year MBA students spend a 1-year term at one of over 10 partner schools.

Corporate Advisory Board / Conseil consultatif des entreprises

Mission: The CAB suggests recommendations to the CFVG Board of Directors, Academic directors, partners and the Steering committee.

Goals

  • The CAB checks the relevance of the program range regarding companies’ expectations.
  • It advises CFVG on how to set up measures to help students’ professional integration.
  • It advises CFVG on how to define and develop executive education programs (with or without degrees).

Members

  • The CAB members are companies’ representatives who collaborate with CFVG through sending employees in its programs, hiring its students, doing trainings with the school or supporting the school in any other way.
  • Full committee or subcommittees can meet depending on topics or requests.
  • There is one CAB in Hanoi and one in HCMC.
  • The CAB will meet once or twice a year.
