04/02/2016
Time: 9h00 – 1200 / 4.9.2015 (HN) & 10.9.2015 (HCMC)
Venue: VCCI Building (HN) & CPA Building (HCMC)
SPEAKER: PR. PATRICK GOUGEON, ESCP EUROPE
Risk taking is inherent to entrepreneurship provided that the risk-reward trade-off is acceptable. Taking this as the point of departure, the task of the risk management team is to provide at any time clear information about the risk exposure of the company to all stakeholders, to promote risk awareness, and considering the risk appetite of the organisation, to identify the areas where risk needs to be mitigated so that the global corporate exposure remains acceptable but also, on the upside, to detect opportunities. In a turbulent corporate environment efficient risk management is definitely a source of value creation and competitive advantage. In emerging countries, such as Vietnam, where productivity gains and rapid growth remain key priorities, the time has come now to develop risk awareness and promote good risk management practices. This is a condition for a sustainable development.
