Established in 2004 by the KAIST College of Business, the AAPBS has been an opportunity where its member schools promote academic exchanges and cooperation. According to the first president, Prof. Park Sung-Joo, the association is a platform for members to work and find solutions as unlike other accreditation bodies the AAPBS highly values co-prosperity. For example, right at this conference, some schools already set up joint programs allowing students to study in different countries. He also has the idea to send retired professors to the counties in need of high academics or an exchange of faculty project.
"Everything needs to be integrated in the future and you need to think in a multi-dimensional way” Kim Tong-Suk, dean of the KAIST College of Business concluded in an interview with Koreatimes.
