Prof. Tran Tho Dat, Chairman of National Economics University’s Academic Board, Co-Director of CFVG participates in the thematic seminar 1 “Developing stable labor supply chains after Covid-19” and joint the panel discussion.
The event in Ho Chi Minh City was co-organised by the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission, the Government and Ho Chi Minh City on the theme : ‘Building an independent and self-reliant economy associated with integration in the new normal stage’ on June 5. The 4th Vietnam Economic Forum has affirmed the correct and effective policy of the Party and State on pursuing Doi Moi, building an independent, self-reliant economy in combination with proactive and active international integration, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said at the forum on June 5. The forum provides a venue for leaders of ministries, agencies, sectors, localities, organisations and businesses, and experts to evaluate and make forecast on the international economic situation, and new trends on the world after the COVID-19 pandemic across various aspects.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the high-level session at the 4th Vietnam Economic Forum. At the high-level session, delegates discussed and shared views on the contents of an independent and self-reliant economy of Vietnam in the new contexts and situation. The effective implementation of this policy during more than 35 years of Doi Moi has contributed to producing historical achievements, the Government leader told the high-level session at the forum, adding that in the current situation, the building of an independent, self-reliant economy in combination with proactive and active international integration is an objective inevitability. The forum is connected with more than 100 sites in and outside the country, and livestreamed on social platforms such as Facebook and Youtube.
Besides the high-level session, three other thematic workshops are held the same day on the development of stable labour supply chains after the pandemic, the capital and real estate markets, and technology modernization, digital transformation and diversification of supply chains.

He said that attracting back laboes plays a very important role in the recovery speed of businesses after the Covid-19 pandemic and among the financially supportting packages being and will be implemented, special attention should be paid to the components related to income support, housing and training, retraining workers in the new context.
